It’s been over a week since I last posted. That’s a long
time! I have no excuse, all I can say is
I will work hard to make sure it never happens again… Hopefully that gets me
off the hook for awhile right?
Ok so, I went against all my moral beliefs and decided to
watch a few episodes of Dance Moms. I get why people see this show as
addicting, I can dig it. What I don’t understand is how Lifetime can condone
this type of behavior. This is legal child abuse at its finest or worst if you
ask me. But you know what’s the craziest part of all this, I don’t blame Abby.
I’m not even angry with her. I blame the moms. The fact they can live with
themselves after putting their children through this kind of mistreatment is
just appalling. Every week it’s an argument of how Maddie gets special
treatment, but they still continue to bring their kids back week after week. No
grown woman should be that fame hungry to purposely put their child in that
kind of situation. I don’t even know what to say about this show anymore, or
really want to say anything else, so let’s just move on.
Well, I’m super dee duper late so I’m just going to do a
review of the past two weeks on Real Housewives of New Jersey. What else is
new, but I was right…again. Teresa went running back to the arms of her family
after her friends betrayed her, or in the eyes of the rest of America, told her
the truth. She says she wants to mend those broken relationships but anyone with
half a brain knows she just doesn’t have anyone else to turn to since she
doesn’t have Jacqueline and Caroline to depend on. It is kind of sad that it
took this to make her realize she needs her family, but at least she got there.
It’s like when someone has a drinking problem and they almost die drunk
driving, so they decide that maybe they do need help. That’s the situation
here. Teresa realized she should probably get back in good terms with her
family, since it’s her family and everything. Last week Melissa hosted a party
for the premiere of her new single on Ryan Seacrest radio show, which is a
pretty big deal. At the party, Teresa and Jacqueline’s friendship finally
ended. It’s situations like this that make me dislike reality TV. It’s
heartbreaking to see a friendship end like that, and every time that episode
airs, they have to relive that. I know this is what they signed up for but
still, I do have a heart and this just might have broken it. Key word: just
might. I only feed into this stuff a little bit nowadays. Even I, a devoted
reality TV fan and lover, is beginning to see it’s ugliness.
Last night I caught up on Real Housewives of New York and
every episode proves me more and more right about Ramona, and the real reason she doesn’t care for
Heather. She is intimidated, yeah I said it. She hates the idea that another
woman on the show is successful and has a happy family. In her mind, that was
her corner on the show and now, she’s got competition. Even on last night’s
episode, when Carole announced her show was being picked up, Ramona feels the
need to share that her wine will be sold in Target. Coincidence? I think not.
They were together the whole day, why did she pick that time to share. Another
thing that still strange about Ramona and Heather’s relationship is that they are so alike, they should be best
friends. I think Heather is the nicer version, but the similarities are there
in plain sight. But I respect their feelings, I kinda get it. It’s that whole
opposites attract, alike repel theory. Personally I say Go Heather for not
inviting her, that took real guts to stand her ground like that. And to say
Ramona deserves to be left home is an understatement; Ramona needs a wake up
call. Do I think this will be it? Nope. You can’t be mean and expect everyone
to still want you around. Doesn’t quite work like that.
So I’ve really gotten into that new show on VH1 Hollywood
Exes. You probably thought I was gonna say Love and Hip Hop ATL, didn’t you?
Yeah, guess again. This show is about 5 women who were in high profile
relationships and are now ex-wives to superstars. There is Andrea Kelly, who is
R. Kelly’s ex wife, Jessica, who was married to Jose Consecos (I have a feeling
I spelled that wrong), Sheree, who was married to Will Smith, Nicole Murphy,
who was married to Eddie Murphy, and Mayte, who was married to Prince. All have
children from these famous relationships except Mayte. Andrea is the biggest
surprise, I must admit because I didn’t even know R. Kelly was married, let
alone for like 10 years and had 3 kids. I understand the theory behind keeping
their relationship out of the media but it takes a strong woman to live that
kind of life. To constantly have to prove that you’re not just a groupie,
you’re actually someone’s wife, I don’t think I could do it. Not too much
bitter ex syndrome on this show, everyone seems like they’re trying to move
forward with their life and do bigger and better things. Sheree is remarried to
a former NFL player/ Pastor, Nicole Murphy is engaged to Michael Strahan, and
Jessica is twice divorced, which has opened the door for her relationship with
Jose to kind of rekindle, finger crossed it doesn’t. Mayte is single and no
longer speaks to Prince, which is pretty sad. I couldn’t imagine marrying
someone and then if it doesn’t work out you don’t even keep in contact. She
hired a matchmaker, who was more of a criticizer if you ask me. She had all
these strange ideas and thoughts about Mayte’s home, most of which were
outrageous. Mayte is doing the right thing, she’s going to give her one chance
to set her up and see how it goes, which is a great idea. She just really seems
like she needs some happiness in her life. One thing I can say about Andrea,
she is always crying. Maybe because I usually lack emotion, I'm just a little
annoyed by it. It doesn’t consume the show so I can still watch.
That’s it for now. Seriously it took me like a week to get
this done, I just kept getting stuck. I just don’t be knowing what to say no
more. But I got past it and I'm back in my groove, I think.
This was really good very informative and entertaining!!!
