Welp, I know this is a TV blog but something happened
last week that I just need to share. I work as a cashier/receptionist for
Liberty Toyota in Burlington, NJ (if you’re nearby you should stop in) and part
of my job is ringing out customers. After they have had service done on their
car and I always accept their payment and as I give them their paperwork I try to
tell every customer “Have a good day,” as they leave. One day last week, a
customer replied to my farewell with a slight and subtle “Make it a great day.”
Talk about a aha
moment.
Honestly at first I must admit that I didn't exactly catch what he said. But when it actually hit me and cane to my realization, when I thought about that, I was blown away. How much
different would my day, my life be if I made a decision everyday to make it a
great one. To make a conscious effort to not let the little things affect your
day or bring you down, to rise above the chaos and nonsense ( *cough my
coworkers cough*) and live each day doing whatever it takes to make you happy.
Imagine what kind of world it would be if everyone did that.
A week later and I still can’t let that one go, every
time I think about it, I'm blown away. The old saying goes, we must be the
change we see in the world, so this is promising to do my part in making this
change in the world. Man, there’s nothing like a great aha moment, it can
really alter your entire life, if you let it.
I know if you don't think this is as great as I think it is, then you probably think this is super lame, but I just thought this was pretty cool. Back to your regular scheduled programming.
