Directv Drama

Well my last post was like what, the 3rd? That’s ridiculous! I guess I can be like every other writer and blame it on writer’s block. I’m not sure what happened to me, I just don’t know what to write about anymore. But that has all changed.

So if you are a fellow DirecTv subscriber than you’re probably reading this in anger also. As I'm sure everyone is already well aware, DirecTV and Viacom are having a little beef and the casualty is all my favorite channels. I’m talking MTV, BET, Vh1 (y’all know I love my VH1), Comedy Central, TV Land, Nickelodeon, Teen Nick, the list goes on. Okay so I'm just going to be honest to you guys because I don’t want it to affect our relationship, but the last couple channels I don’t really care about. I'm mostly upset about MTV and VH1, and BET a little bit. For a rumor that may have lasted only one night before they came to an agreement, this is lasting quite a long time. I've already missed Hollywood Exes, Love and Hip Hop ATL (I will not claim watching this show anywhere else so this has to stay between me and you), Awkward, Real World, I mean the list goes on and on. My sister and I were having a discussion about this yesterday and while I agree to blame both Directv and Viacom, I think that more blame should be put on Directv. It just doesn’t make sense that Viacom would only want more money from Directv, why wouldn’t Verizon Fios, Comcast, Dish, and all the other TV companies be forced to drop these channels also? I do see Viacom asking for more and Directv being the only company that didn’t want to pay up. To be 100% honest, I don’t care whose to blame, I just want my channels back. I told my mom, we have no problem taking our business elsewhere.

Well, I’ve been trying to catch up on everything but haven’t finished an episode of anything yet. I started watching So You Think You Can Dance but got halfway through and needed to get to bed, watched like 10 minutes of Miss Advised (which is actually a really cute show) and then didn’t finish that one either. One show I did finish though, Bad Girls Club. I never thought I would say this about this show but this is just too much fighting. I'm like Can’t We All Just Get Along?! These girls are, if nothing else, hilarious. I just can’t get over Erica and that cranberry juice. That was tooooo funny! Just how she explained getting the red cup and after she takes her nap, I was just like wow. I gotta give it to Mehgan though ( that is such an ugly way to spell that) she’s a fighter, man. But the only thing is her mouth is reckless. She goes too far and says too much. And then the one girl with the fried and died blonde hair that’s in desperate need of protein, hot oil, and every other kind of treatment to bring that thing back to life. I'm just like, girl get your life. You know you wrong to let your hair get that bad, that’s just embarrassing. Then the other girl, Julie, whose obviously living in Lala Land. That’s the only definition I can come up with to explain why her nose is so high up in the air. The way she talks about people, you would think she was Kate Middleton or something. I will say though, I feel for Rima, although I do think she’s running for the Worst Mother of the Year award. I don’t have kids so I don’t know what it’s like to be a mother, but I know that you can't cry about leaving your child when you left them for Bad Girls Club.  Like, that’s not a legitimate excuse. There is nothing that Bad Girls Club can offer you that will help you to be a better mother. But, at least she’s pretending to act like being without him is killing her. I’ll give her that one. Season after season, this show just keeps getting worse, just keeps letting me down.

Well I'm sure I’ll have plenty more to post about next week because Viacom and Directv are gonna get it together and come to an agreement (I’m speaking it into existence). For now, this is all I’ve got.

Until the next time, maybe the next show, I’ll see you when I see you.
