Well, I am back and open for business, at least I think so. I didn't exactly take a hiatus, okay I took a hiatus. It's been a hard couple of months for me, one thing after the other but things are beginning to settle, well kinda sorta at least.
So I'm sure you are probably wondering what happened. I was doing so good and then nothing, right? Well I lost my job in August, started school in September and this semester is kicking my butt, to say the least. Now, you're probably wondering what that has to do with anything, how did losing my job stop me from my civic duty. Well, everything would have been fine and dandy but I wrote my post while at work doing nothing. When I didn't have any free time anymore, I started slacking, like really bad. So much has happened, so many great shows have began this season Idk if there's even a point to continuing. I'm sure we can always pick up where we left off but what's the use? I still have to think about this one, I have a feeling there's a looonnnggg road ahead of me.
For now, I'll just give you my recommendations for this season, even though it's probably too late to jump on some of these bandwagons (unless you have days to spare watching hours of tv, in that case knock yourself out.)
I've really gotten into Nashville, a great show about a country star with a young wannabe tryna take her place. I must be honest, Connie Britton will always be Mrs. Taylor to me but she plays this part well. It has great undertones and a great cast. Hayden Pennetiere (probably didn't spell that right) is great as Juliette, a mean spirited newcomer whose kinda a whore and quite disrespectful, and it seems that they gave a lot of new faces a job opportunity, it's an overall good cast.
MTV has a great new show called Underemployed, which chronicles the lives of college graduates struggling to get a job. I think the greatest part of this show is it's reality, I know the broke life and I know what it's like to take the first job you can get because those bills aren't gonna pay themselves, so personally I make this a must watch every week.
During our time apart, Parenthood came back and I won't go into my obsession again, I'm sure we had this convo already. This season is going great, as usual. I think I'll wait until my video post to reveal some spoilers, but I'm just going to say, so far it's been wonderfully sad.
Oh yeah, Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills have come back. I think since my last post both Rhonj and Rhony have come and gone, definitely have to double check on that one. So far both have been quite interesting and unusual, a lot of unexpected events and each is only like 3 or 4 episodes in. I think I'll save my more in depth opinions for my video post.
